South Korea has been plunged into a constitutional crisis after President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in a late-night TV address. He accused the country’s main opposition party of sympathizing with North Korea and of anti-state activities. Just a few hours later, parliament voted unanimously to block the President’s declaration.
